The Effects of ¢¥Group practice in Self-disclosure¢¥ on Purpose in Life and Satisfaction of Major of Nusing Students

Abstract
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to promote of mental health and to suggest effective nursing curriculum by exploring the effects of the training for self_disclosure on purpose in life and satisfaction degree of major subjects of nursing students.

Methods: The period of this study was from August 26, 2002 to October 18. 2002 Total period of research was 8 weeks. The subjects were 105 1st grade nursing students m the college of K located m Kyongsangbukdo. The design of this study was a one-group pretest-posttest design and theoretical framework of concept in this study were logotherapy theory based on philasopy of existence and dynamics of group psychotherapy. The data were analyzed by paired t-test and Pearson¢¥s Correlation with SPSS 10.0 program.

Findings: The results of this study were as follows: There were significant differences in PIL(purpose in life) score in total PIL(P≶ 01, attitude toward life(P≶ 01), conscience of purpose in life(P≶ 05), intimacy m life(P≶ 05) and degree of satisfaction in major subjects(P≶ 05).

Conclusion: I want to consider seriously to suggest that the Practice in Self-disclosure is useful in use as a nursing intervention at nursing fields because of its¢¥ effectiveness in score of purpose in life and degree of satisfaction on major subjects.
